Bihia circle police inspector office located in dilapidated building

Ara : Police personnel at Circle Inspector office, Bihia in Bhojpur district, are operating from a dilapidated building risking their limbs. The ceiling of the office has developed cracks at several places and plaster from the ceiling has already fallen on the ground several times and the iron rods are exposed.

The Circle Inspector Office at Bihia runs from a government building on the campus of Bihia Block Office. The verandah of the building had collapsed last year in the night. Lal Bahdur Mahato, district president, Amar Shaheed Jagdeo Sena, had resorted to fast in to death on the campus of Bihia Block Office demanding immediate repair of the building and the then SDM Satyendra Kumar had assured to get it repaired soon but to no avail so far.

Sanjay Kumar Sinha, Circle Inspector, said that fund had been allotted for construction of Inspector office and Police Station building but the work is still pending for want of 1.5 acre land.
