Bihari diaspora to assemble at 6th Bihar Entrepreneurship Summit

Patna: Bihar Entrepreneurs Association (BEA), with Entrepreneurs Association of India, is all set to organise two-day 6th Bihar Entrepreneurship Summit (BES), intended to act as a crucible for those involved in formulation of policies, planning, initiative and execution. This is in keeping up with its tradition of organizing a two-way dialogue between the policymakers and Biharis. The BES is to be hosted on February 22 and 23 at Gyan Bhawan and Hotel Lemon Tree Premier respectively.

The plan is to place the entrepreneur and the social-economic ecosystem at the heart of debate of the policymakers promoting the role of innovation, job creation and growth of state as a whole. Sharing the same opinion, Bihar Pravasi Sammelan joins in Bihar Entrepreneurship Summit for the first time. Special emphasis will be laid on further development of Food Park, Logistics Park, Education Hub and IT Development Centre in the state.

Bihar Labour Resources Department Minister Vijay Kumar Sinha, Building Construction Department Minister Maheshwar Hazari, and Industries Minister Jai Kumar Singh will inaugurate the Summit on the first day at Gyan Bhawan. Ambassador of Costa Rica will also grace the occasion as the special guest.

Inaugural session will be followed by pin-pointed business sessions aimed at widening the horizons of the business communities operating in the state. The sessions would essentially include the role of technology and innovation in developing Bihar with special emphasis on agriculture, health and education, the role of Pravasi Bihari in developing Bihar, trendsetters in Bihar: entrepreneurs in technology & StartUp, and last, but not least, women entrepreneurs.

Elaborating on the Summit, Secretary General, BEA, Abhishek Singh, told mediapersons that the association has a long tradition of working for the uplift of the marginalized communities in the state. The BES this time has is set to host changemakers from multiple sectors; ranging between agriculture and artificial intelligence. “We are now coming up with a programme that would insure setting up of eye check-up centres in all the 534 blocks of the state,” Singh said and added that BEA has tied up with German giant Carl Zeiss for the purpose continuing our mission of “grassroot to global.”
