Patna :  A total of 5,908 more persons tested positive for Covid-19 in Bihar including 2,202 in Patna on January 10, 2022, a huge jump from 4,737 cases on January 9, 2022, taking the tally of Active cases in the state to 25,051 on January 11, 2022. The Active cases count in the state was 20,938 on January 10, 2022. The state also reported 5 new deaths due to Covid-19 in last 24 hours including 1 each at PMCH and NMCH, 1 at a private hospital at Patna, and 1 at Bhagalpur,  taking the toll to 12,111 on January 11, 2022, including 2,799 at Patna..

The 5,908 new Covid-19 cases included 2,202 in Patna, 264 in Muzaffarpur, 249 in Samastipur, 232 in Darbhanga, 210 in Bhagalpur, 180 in Jamui, 162 in Begusarai, 160 in Gaya, 154 in Munger, 133 in Madhubani, 132 in Jehanabad, 127 in Nalanda, 122 in Saran, 114 in Saharsa, 107 in Bhojpur, 98 in East Champaran, 94 in Aurangabad, 92 in Banka, 82 in Kishanganj, 80 in Madhepura, 77 in Supaul, 75 in Siwan, 72 in Rohtas, 70 in Sitamarhi, 69 in Katihar, 66 in Vaishali, 61 in Araria, 61 in Purnia, 60 in Nawada, 47 in West Champaran, 41 in Arwal, 35 in Kaimur, 34 in Lakhisarai, 30 in Buxar, 23 in Khagaria, 19 in Gopalganj, 17 in Sheikhpura, 9 in Sheohar, and 48 from outside Bihar, according to State Health Department figure.

Bihar has logged 7,56,045 Covid-19 cases of which 7,18,882 patients have recovered including 1,790 in last 24 hours with the recovery rate (RR) dropping to 95.08% on January 11, 2022, from 95.59% on January 10, 2022. The state tested 1,88,133 samples on January 10, 2022.
