Patna : Elevan persons died due to Covid-19 in Bihar in last 24 hours taking the toll to 12,156 in the state on January 19, 2022. The 11 new deaths included 3 in Bhagalpur and 1 each in Patna, Muzaffarpur, Purnia, Nawada, Saran, Siwan, Katihar.
On the other hand, a total 4,063 more persons tested positive for Covid-19 in the state including 999 in Patna on January 18, 2022, down from 4,551 on January 17, 2022. The Active cases count was 30,481 in Bihar on January 19, 2022, down from 33,883 cases on January 18, 2022.
The 4,063 new Covid-19 cases included 999 in Patna, 196 in Samastipur, 218 in Purnia, 214 in Bhagalpur, 157 in Katihar, 142 in Madhepura, 136 in Muzaffarpur, 136 in Darbhanga, 133 inĀ Begusarai,126 in Saran, 122 in Nalanda, 106 in West Champaran, 101 in Munger, 97 in East Champaran, 96 in Vaishali, 64 in Madhubani, 61 in Aurangabad, and 58 in Bhojpur, according to State Health Department figure. The state tested 1,48,164 samples on January 18, 2022.
Bihar has logged 7,99,267 Covid-19 cases so far of which 7,56,629 patients have recovered including 7,454 in last 24 hours with the recovery rate (RR) improving to 94.67 % on January 19, 2022, from 94.21% on January 18, 2022.
