Patna : Active cases count further dropped to 2,450 in Bihar on February 6, 2022, from 2,916 cases on February 5, 2022, as only 295 more persons tested positive for Covid-19n in the state in last 24 hours. A total of 442 persons had tested positive for Covid-19 in the state on February 5, 2022. Bihar did not report any new death due to Covid-19 in last 24 hours and the toll remained static at 12,236 on February 6, 2022.
The 296 new Covid-19 cases included 44 in Patna, 32 in Madhepura, 21 in Saharsa, 20 in Gopalganj, 16 in West Champaran, 14 in Samastipur, 12 in Purnia, 10 in Bhagalpur, 9 in Bhojpur, 9 in Buxar, 9 in Muzaffarpur, 8 in Gaya, 7 in Begusarai, 7 in Katihar, 5 in Aurangabad, 3 in Darbhanga, 2 in Madhubani, 1 in East Champaran, 1 i n Arwal, 1 in Araria, and 1 in Jehanabad, according to State Health Department figure. Bihar tested 1,15,010 samples on February 5, 2022.
The state has logged 8,27,312 Covid-19 cases since the outbreak of the pandemic of which 8,12,625 patients have recovered including 761 in last 24 hours with the recovery rate (RR) improving to 98.22 % on February 6, 2022, from 98.17 % on February 5, 2022.
