Patna : A total of 2,120 more persons tested positive for Covid-19 cases in last 24 hours, down from 2,362 cases on the preceding day, taking the total count of Active cases in the state since the outbreak of the pandemic to 12,596 cases on January 26, 2022. The total count of Active cases in the state was 14,770 on January 25, 2022.

Bihar also reported 7 new deaths including 2 in Patna and 1 each in Vaishali, Muzaffarpur, East Champaran, Saharsa, and Gaya, due to Covid-19 in last 24 hours taking the toll to 12,204 in the state on January 26, 2022.

The new 2,120 Covid-19 cases included 336 in Patna, 214 in Begusarai, 122 in Muzaffarpur, 119 in Purnia, 102 in Samastipur, 94 in Vaishali, 78 in East Champaran, 77 in Saran, 75 in Munger, 72 in Bhojpur, 68 in Saharsa, 65 in Bhagalpur, 61 in Rohtas, 55 in West Champaran, 52 in Darbhanga,  47 in Buxar, 43 in Madhepura, 37 in Mdhubani, 35 in Gopalganj, 34 in Sitamarhi, 32 in Siwan, 29 in Aurangabad, 25 in Supaul, and 13 from other states, according to State Health Department figure.

Bihar has recorded 8,17,825 Covid-19 cases so far of which 7,93,024 patients have recovered including 4,287 in last 24 hours with the recovery rate (RR) improving to 96.97% on January 26, 2022, from 96.69% on January 25, 2022. The state tested 1,45,290 samples on January 25, 2022.
