Bihar Minister Khurshid gets extortion call on mobile phone

Bettiah : Minister for Sugarcane Development Khurshid alias Feroz Ahmad, who represents Sikta assembly constituency in West Champaran district in Bihar Assembly, received an extortion call on December 9, 2017, with the caller asking him to pay Rs 1 lakh in Goverdhana Forest by the late evening the same day.

The call was made from mobile phone number 7759022823 on the minister’s telephone. The criminal asked the minister that the extortion money should reach Goverdhana jungle failing which he will be eliminated.

The minister said that he has lodged a case with Purshottampur police station under Narakatiaganj Sub-Division in this connection. SHO, Purshottampur police station, Rajesh Prasad said that police were investigating the matter. Sources revealed that a Rangdari ( Extortion amount) of Rs 10 lakh had also been demanded by a criminal from the Minister   June 10, 2017, by a criminal.
