Patna: Bihar government is trying to get clarification from the CSO to know the basis on which the GDP of the state for 2015-16 reduced to 7.14% at the base year 2011-12. Principal Secretary , Planning and Development department, Dr Dipak Prasad stated this while replying to a query of mediapersons regarding the reduced GDP rate of Bihar at a press conference at Soochna Bhavan here.
Former deputy CM and senior BJP leader Sushil Kumar Modi had on August 10 held the Grand Alliance government headed by Nitish Kumar responsible for the sluggish GDP rate in the state.
Giving details of the progress of various programmes and schemes, Dr Prasad said that Bihar was yet to get Rs 6,395.19 crore under the special plan ( Backward Region Grant Fund) under the 12th five-year plan which ends on March 31, 2017.
Development Commissioner Shishir Sinha said that the ” Mukhyamantri Nischay Swayam Sahayta Jojn” for the youths of Bihar will start from October 2 this year along with Student Credit Card scheme and Skill development scheme.
