Patna : Bihar Government on September 19, 2018, suspended with immediate effect DIG, Home Guards & Fire Services, Ratnamani Sanjeev, an IPS officer of 2003 batch, for alleged financial irregularities, dereliction of duty, and insubordination.

The Home (Police) Department issued a notification to this effect on September 19 itself. During suspension period, Ratnamani Sanjeev’s headquarters would be the office of Zonal IG, Patna. The Government has also initiated departmental proceedings against Sanjeev.

Sanjeev has opted out of the Mid-Career Training Programme (MCTP) Phase IV. The Home (Police)Department on September 20, 2018, informed Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel National Police Academy, Hyderabad, Telangana, about withdrawal of Sanjeev’s nomination for the MCTP Phase IV.

The MCTP Phase IV will be held from October 1, 2018, to October 18, 2018, at National Police Academy, Hyderabad, followed by its foreign component at London, UK, from October 22 to October 26, 2018. Four IPS officers of Bihar were nominated for the MCTP Phase IV. Now, only three of them will attend it.
