Patna: Bihar cabinet, at its meeting on Thursday, approved Rs 91.72 crore for repair of road, culverts and bridges between Sultanganj and Dumma on Jharkhand border covering a distance of  82.66 km to facilitate the Kanwariyas going to Deoghar during the annual Shrawan festival. Kanwariyas collect holy Ganga water from Sultanganj and trek the route to Deoghar passing through Bhagalpur, Banka and Munger districts in Bihar.
The Cabinet also decided to release  Rs 111.12 crore for payment of outstanding salaries to  66104 primary and middle school teachers engaged under the Universal education scheme. Three new posts of public relations officers each at Raj Bhawan and CM secretariat were also sanctioned in addition to three posts each of cameramen for the two secretariats.

The Cabinet also approved creation of more posts Under the Bihar Secretariat service cadre .Three officers:  the then excise superintendent of Nawada Ashwini Kumar, the then medical officer of Ramgarh in Kaimur district  Dr Arvind Kumar and former circle offcer of Balrampur in Katihar district Suresh Kumar were terminated on different charges.
The government agenda for the coming monsoon session of state legislature was also approved by the cabinet.
