Patna: Bihar cabinet at its meeting on Tuesday revised the Bihar advertisement policy of 2008. In the old policy, there was no provision of issuing advertisements to public broadcasters including DD, Internet services.
Among the 31 items discussed atĀ the meeting , the cabinet approved a proposal of health department to raise the retirement age of doctors in dental surgery and state employees health insurance scheme from 65 to 67 years. The cabinet decided to include Bihar rural drinking water scheme under the seven resolves of the chief minister.

Dr Binod Kumar, the then medical officer of Udakishunganj in Madhepura district, was reinstatedĀ  following an order of High Court. Earlier, he was sacked from government service. The cabinet also sanctioned a proposal for compulsory retirement of additional district and sessions judge of Munegr, Hridaya N Pandey. He is under suspension. The Rajauli-Bakhtiarpur section of 4 lanes highways (47 km long) was handed over to National Highway Authority of India.
