Patna : The Education Department of Bihar Government on July 27, 2019, sanctioned Rs 6.53 crore for installation of GCRT Solar Power Plants in Aryabhatta Knowledge University (AKU), Patliputra University, Patna, Veer Kuer Singh University, Ara, Nav Nalanda Mahavihar, Nalanda, Central University of South Bihar, Gaya, Magadh University, Bodh Gaya, BNMU, Madhepura, KSDSU, Darbhanga, LNMU, Darbhanga, and TMBU, Bhagalpur, through of BREDA, the implementing agency. This follows the initiative taken by the Governor cum Chancellor of State Universities, Lalji Tandon. The Government thanked the state government for sanctioning the fund for the purpose.

Meanwhile, the officers and employees of the Governor’s Secretariat including the Principal Secretary Vivek Kumar Singh organised a farewell party at Raj Bhavan in the honour of Governor Lalji Tandon, who has transferred to Madhya Pradesh (MP). He will leave for Bhopal on July 28, 2019. He had assumed charge as Bihar Governor on August 23, 2018.
