Patna: Bihar governor Ram Nath Kovind while stressing on better care and utilisation of the experience of elderly persons pleaded for inclusion of effectiveness of Indian family system in the school curriculam.

Addressing the annual function of Bagvan Club here, the governor said that the population of elderly persons in the country is 16 crore which will increase to 30 crore by the year 2050. He said in the next five years the number of elderly people in the country would be more than the population of five year old children.  The governor stressed on linking the experience of elderly persons to the process of social development. He also said that an affectionate relationship with daughters-in-law by their parents-in-law would give a tension free life to the later.

Noted surgeon Dr A A Hai also addressed the function.  He advised the elderly people to keep themselves engaged in social and cultural activities.
