Patna : Bihar Governor Satya Pal Malik and CM Nitish Kumar mourned DMK supremo and former CM, Tamil Nadu, M Karunanidhi, 94, who passed away on August 7, 2018, at a Chennai Hospital where was admitted for the past 11 days. Karunanidhi was elected to the Tamil Nadi assembly 13 times.
Governor Malik described the death of M Karunanidhi as an irreparable loss to Indian politics. It is end of a golden chapter of Tamil Nadu politics, Governor Malik said.
CM Nitish Kumar said that Karunanidhi always accorded top priority to democratic values besides championing the cause of deprived section of the society. The country has lost a massive political personality, Nitish said. He also spoke to Karunanidhi’s daughter Kanimojhi, MP, on August 7 morning.
