Patna : JD(U) president and Bihar CM Nitish Kumar will not attend the proposed Patidar rally at Rajkot in Gujarat on January 28. Patidar leader Hardik Patel, during his visit to Patna last month, had invited Nitish to attend the rally and Bihar CM had agreed to participate in the rally as chief guest.
However, on January 11, Nitish conveyed his inability to join the rally due his preoccupations in the state. Nitish Kumar’s latest decision not to join the rally in the home state of PM Narendra Modi is being seen influenced by the highly positive compliments from PM to him on January 5 here for enforcing prohibition. PM Modi had acknowledged the management skills of Nitish and also praised him for his “bold and courageous” action of
banning liquor in Bihar.
