Patna: Bihar CM Nitish Kumar on Sunday launched the students’ credit card scheme, one of his seven resolves. Under the card scheme, students wanting to pursue higher studies after their school education will get interest free loans up to Rs four lakh. The state government has entered into an MoU with 39  banks in this connection.

The government proposes to benefit 40 lakh students in next four years. In the current financial year, five lakh students would benefit, he said. The money can be used for payment of institutional fees, computers and books. All campus would be WiFi equipped from next year, Nitish said.
