Patna: Bihar Industries Association (BIA) on Thursday signed an MoU with Department of Industries, Government of Bihar, to run business incubation centre at Patna. This initiative of BIA, which is supported by state industries department,  will help budding entrepreneurs and startups in Bihar by providing a favourable environment to them to establish their businesses in Bihar.  Under this MoU, BIA has to provide co-working space, mentoring support, networking support etc. to budding entrepreneurs and startups.

The BIA has already started this business Incubator namely “VenturePark” and providing services like plug and play co-working space and mentoring support. It has already selected 4 startups for incubation. They are: Gangafresh.com, Homezifi.com, Revivalshoelaundry.in and Dawaaii.com. The MoU was signed to run an Incubation Centre for 5 years and to Incubate minimum of 50 Startups in next 5 years. The state industries department will provide financial support for running of the centre.

S Siddharth, Principal Secretary, Industries,  Pankaj Singh, Director, Industries,  Ram Lall Khetan, President BIA,  Sanjay Goenka, BIA Vice-President, G P Singh, former Vice President BIA, and Deputy Director, industries, S N Ram,  were present on this occasion.
