BIA felicitates 50 doctors on Doctors’ Day

Patna : Bihar Industries Association (BIA) on July 1, 2017, felicitated 50 doctors of the state at a function organised on its premises to mark the Doctors’ Day. The BIA had invited 64 doctors to felicitate them but 14 of them could not attend the function due to their preoccupation with professional works.

The 50 doctors felicitated by the BIA included Padma Shri Dr C P Thakur, Padma Shri Dr S N Arya, Padma Shri Dr R N Singh, Padma Shri Dr Gopal Prasad Sinha, Padma Shri Dr Vijay Prakash, Padma Shri Dr Jitendra Kumar Singh, former national president IMA Dr Ram Jam Singh, former Bihar IMA presidents:  Dr Manju Gita Mishra, Dr Basant Singh, Dr Arun Kumar Thakur and Dr S Kumar, present state IMA president Dr D P Singh, president elect state IMA Dr Shahajanand Prasad Singh, former VC Aryabhatta Knowledge University (AKU) Dr Arun Agarwal, Dr Shanti Roy, former Director-in-chief, Health Department, Dr Vijay Shankar Singh, former national vice-president IMA, Dr D K Chaudhary, Director, IGIMS, Dr N R Biswas, IGIMS, Senior vice-president IMA Dr Ajay Kumar, Medical Superintendent, IGIMS, Dr P K Sinha, Principal IGIMS, Medical College, Dr Arvind Prasad,  Director AIIMS, Patna, Dr P K Singh, PMCH Principal Dr S N Sinha,  NMCH Principal Dr Shiv Kumari, and former Principal, IGIMS, Medical College, Dr Uday Kumar.

The BIA honoured the doctors by presenting them with a shawl and citation. The BIA started felicitating the doctors on the Doctors’ Day since July 1, 2015. BIA president Ram Lal Khetan appreciated the services rendered to the society by the doctors. He, however, also reminded them about their duty and responsibility.
