Patna : Bihar Industries Association (BIA) on September 9, 2018, expressed concern over the rising petrol and diesel prices in the country. BIA President KPS Keshri said that petrol and diesel are essential commodities and increase in their prices impacts the people and the economy directly.
Keshri said that petroleum products are essential commodities yet they have not been brought under the GST and as a result they are selling at different prices in different states across the country. He further stated that the government needs to take policy decision over issue. Keshri requested the state government to ease the burden on people by reducing the state taxes on petroleum products.
