BHRC issues notice to JLNMCH, Bhagalpur, Principal, Supdt

Patna: The Bihar Human Rights Commission (BHRC) on Friday issued notice to Principal, Jawahar Lal Nehru Medical College and Hospital (JLNMCH), Bhagalpur, as well as Superintendent of the hospital in connection with inordinate delay in the payment of salary to a Senior Resident of the hospital.
BHRC member Neelmani said Dr Hemant Kumar Das, Sr. Resident, Surgery Department, Jawahar Lal Nehru Medical College and Hospital (JLNMCH), Bhagalpur, has complained to the Commission that in compliance with the Health Department notification dated January 9, 2015, he joined in the office of Superintendent, JLNMCH, on January 12,2015, but despite pay slip issued by the Finance Department, Superintendent, JLNMCH, is not giving pay to him saying that Principal, JLNMCH, will do it. Principal, JLNMCH, says he is unable to do since the pay slip is with the Superintendent’s office. As a result, the petitioner has been shuttling between the two offices and is under extreme mental agony due to sustained denial of pay.
Neelmani said the Principal, JLNMCH and Superintendent, JLNMCH, have been directed to file their respective reply to the Commission by May 31, 2016, failing which the BHRC will be constrained to direct for their personal appearance.
