Ara : Two separate FIRs were lodged with two police stations by the rival groups on October 15, 2019, late evening,in connection with murder of two persons including a CPI(ML) leader the same day.

Santosh Paswan, son of a slain CPI(ML) leader Jhari Paswan alias Jhari Pahalwan, lodged a named FIR with Tarari police station against five persons of village Rajpur under Tarari police station and one from Tarari village, while injured Suggamuni Devi, mother of slain Pramod Yadav, instituted FIR with Imadpur police station against 13 named including Santosh Paswan, son of Jhari Paswan, and six unnamed persons.

Sugamuni Devi said that about half a dozen armed miscreants reached Rajpur village under Imadpur police station when she along with her son Pramod Yadav was working in the field and pumped several bullets into his body killing him on the spot. When she came to her rescue, the miscreants also shot at her injuring her. She said that her son Pramod Yadav was a truck driver at Raurkela in Odisha and her husband Nand Kishore Singh is in Ara jail in connection with firing and injuring one Bhola Paswan.

On the other hand, Santosh Paswan alleged that his father Jhari Paswan was taking tea at a tea- stall at Tarari when some armed miscreants riding two motorcycles reached there and started firing indiscriminately and also pumped four bullets into his father’s body killing him on the spot.

Bhojpur SP Sushil Kumar said that a police team has been formed under ASP (Operations) Nitin Kumar to arrest the miscreants and the police team is conducting raids at different places. He said that not a single miscreant would be spared in the double murder case and added that police force is camping in the area to maintain law and order.

It may be mentioned here that some armed miscreants had shot dead the CPI(ML) leader Jhari Paswan at Tarari village under the same police on October 15, 2019, morning. After two hours, Pramod Yadav was killed at Rajpur village under Imadpur police station allegedly in a retaliatory action.
