Ara: Cold wave for the last four days again forced Bhojpur district administration to order closure of all the government and private schools in the district till January 7. Normal life has been thrown out of gear as the icy cold wind sweeping the area since December 26 afternoon has aggravated the woes of the people.

District Magistrate Birendra Prasad Yadav said that the step was to save the school going children from cold. He said that the order would be applicable to all the private, government and minority institutions in the district. The schools in the district were to re-open after a gap of a fortnight on January 2, 2017. People are forced to remain indoors as the situation became grim since December 26. District Magistrate Yadav has asked the officials concerned to arrange for bonfire at different places but it was seen nowhere at Ara.
