Bhojpur police recover missing Ara girl from Ahmedabad, arrest her lover

Ara : Bhojpur police, on a tip off, recovered a teenage girl and also arrested her lover from a hotel at Ahmadabad in Gujarat on October 18, 2019, and brought them over to Ara on October 20. Police brought the girl to Ara Sadar Hospital for medical examination and will produce her before an Ara court on October 21, 2019, to get her statement recorded under Section 164 of CrPC. Police sent her lover to the jail after interrogation.

SHO, Ara Town police station, said that a class X student of village Kant under Brahmpur police station in Buxar district, along with her family members lived at the house of her relatives at Nala Mor, C K Road, under Ara town police station. She went to market to buy some articles for the family on September 27, 2019, but she did not return. The family members searched for her everywhere and when they failed to locate her, her father lodged a named FIR with Ara Town police station on October 2, 2019, against Pappu Kumar, son of Gopal Yadav of Sarathua village under Udwantnagar police station in Bhojpur district, accusing  him of kidnapping of his daughter. Pappu Kumar is married and father of two children. After institution of FIR, police swung into action and on the basis of mobile surveillance, they reached Ahmadabad and recovered the girl and her lover from a hotel.

At Ara Sadar Hospital, the girl  said that Pappu Kumar visited his aunt (bua) at Kant village under Bhrampur police station in Buxar district frequently and she came in contact with him about a year ago and fell in love with him. She said that she did not know about the marriage of Pappu Kumar. She further said that she was not kidnapped but she had gone with Pappu Kumar on her own. She added that after fleeing from her house, she went to Ahmadabad along with Pappu Kumar where they lived in a hotel as husband and wife. She said on way to Ahmadabad, Pappu Kumar told her about his marriage and children.
