Bhojpur police recover half-naked body of unidentified woman from railway track

Ara : Police recovered half-naked body of an unidentified woman aged around 30 years from near Sikariya railway line at Pachkutia Chat under Tier police station in Bhojpur District on January 18, 2020, and brought it over to Ara Sadar Hospital for post-mortem.

An FIR has been lodged with Tier police station in this connection and police are also investigating into the matter. SHO, Tier police station, said that some miscreants had pumped bullet into the head of the woman and killed her. Later, they threw the body near Sikariya Railway track near Pachkutia Chat. The villagers located the body and informed police.

Police, on getting information, immediately swung into action and recovered the body. The SHO said that the identity of the woman was yet to be established. He said whether she was raped prior to murder or not will be confirmed after post-mortem repor comes. He stated that police are also trying to find out as to where the woman came from and how she reached there.

The villagers alleged said that the miscreants outraged her modesty and later shot her dead and threw the body near the rail track. They said that the woman was half naked indicating she was raped.
