Ara : Bhojpur police on December 23, 2018, lodged a named FIR against five persons in connection with recovery of explosives from a grocery store at Jawala Market, Piro Bazaar, under Piro police station. Police lodged FIR against the shop-keeper Rakesh Kumar Kesari alias Rinku, main supplier Rajesh Gupta of Varanasi, three retailers: Feroz and Bashir of Piro and Subhash Kumar of Hasan Bazaar locality under Piro police station.

Police had seized about 200 kg of explosives including 17 kg of Ammonium, 49 kg of baking soda, 34 kg of Kalami Sora, 12 kg of Barood, 25 kg of Yellow Mica, 50 kg of Phosphorus, Sulpher and others from a grocery store at Jawala Market at Piro Bazaar under Piro police station on December 21, 2018, late evening and had arrested the shop-keeper Rakesh Kumar Kesari alias Rinku. Police, after interrogation, sent him to jail.

SHO, Piro police station, said that some relatives of Rakesh Kumar Kesari live at Sasaram and they are also in the explosives business and added that Rakesh Kumar Kesari and his relatives have links with bomb and crackers makers as well as stone crushers and supplied explosives to them.

The SHO said that Rakesh Kumar Kesari confessed that he was dealing in explosives after smuggling it from Varanasi and supplied it to Piro and Hasan Bazaar. Bhojpur SP Aditya Kumar said that police are conducting raids to arrest the supplier and the retailers.
