Bhojpur police bust gang of vehicle lifters, 7 arrested

Ara : Bhojpur police on January 18, 2018, busted an inter-district gang of vehicle lifters and arrested seven members of the gang including the kingpin MdArif alias Rohit. Police also seized five vehicles. Later, police forwarded them to jail.

Bhojpur SP Awakash Kumar, in view of rising incidents of vehicle lifting, had formed a police team to bust the gang involved in vehicle lifting. SHO, Town police station, Ara,  J P Singh arrested Md Belal from Khetadi Mohalla along with a stolen motorcycle. On his revelation, police arrested Md Arif alias Rohit from Milki, Md Imran, Md Raza and Md Saif Haidar from Khetadi Mohalla, Md Faizan from Jail Road, and Md Saud Alam from Dharahara.

SHO, Town police station, J P Singh said that these criminals used motorcycle fitted with  police name plate and Md Arif alias Rohit was the mastermind of the gang. The members of the gang stole motorcycles and other vehicles from different parts of Bihar including Patna and sold them.
