Ara : Bhojpur police busted a gang of bike lifters and arrested two bike lifters : Nitish Kumar, son of Dharmendra Singh of Narbirpur village under Chandi police station, and Vikas Yadav, son of Binay Yadav of village Badora under Gadhani police station, and seized four motorcycles from their possession on December 25, 2019.

SDPO, Ara, Ambrish Rahul said that some miscreants had looted a motorcycle of Md Khurshid Rain of Bhaluhipur locality under Ara Town police station from near Registry office on December 17, 2019, and an FIR was lodged with Ara Town police station in this regard.

SP Incharge Sudhir Kumar Porika formed a police team to arrest the bike lifters. Police got information that a bike lifter would pass through Mirganj on a motorcycle. Police immediately launched vehicle checking drive at Mirgnaj and arrested Nitish Kumar of Narbirpur under Chandi police station and seized the motorcycle.

Nitish Kumar confessed that he had stolen the motorcycle from near Registry office on December 17, 2019. He also confessed that he along with his aides had stolen a number of motorcycles from Jail road, Ara Civil Court gate and other places in Bhojpur district and most of the stolen motorcycles had been sold. He also said that one motorcycle is still with Vikas Yadav of Badora under Gadhani police station who checked sand chalans at Dharahara. Police conducted raid in Dharahara locality and seized three stolen motorcycles and arrested Vikas Yadav.

The SDPO further said that Vikas Yadav had been jaied earlier in connection with a murder case and Nitish Kumar was in jail for thrashing people.
