Ara : Bhojpur police, on a tip off, arrested Prince Singh from village Mahuli under Ara Muffassil police station on August 28, 2018, in connection with murder of a jeweller Mukesh Kumar and Nand Lal in 2018. Later, police sent him to jail after interrogation. Police also seized a countrymade pistol and four live cartridges from his possession.
SHO, Ara Muffassil police station, Rabindra Ram, said that he got information that Prince Singh of Bakharia was seen at Mahuli after which he immediately swung into action and conducted raid at village Mahuli. Seeing police, Prince Singh tried to flee but police chased and caught him. The SHO said that during interrogation, Prince Singh confessed before police that he worked for two inmates of Ara jail: history-sheeters Sheru Singh and Babloo Tatwa, and also admitted his involvement in the murder of Mukesh Kumar and Nand Lal Gupta alias Lal Babu Gupta.
The SHO further said that Prince Singh was earlier arrested with a pen pistol but was released as he was juvenile at that time.
