Ara : Police arrested two persons from village Jamuaw under Sandesh police station in Bhojpur district  and sent them to jail in on July 1, 2019, in connection with murder of their daughter-in-law allegedly for dowry.

SHO, Sandesh police station, said that Bharat Yadav of village Jokata under Chandi police station in Bhojpur district married his daughter Sushanti Devi to Anil Yadav, son of Kamal Yadav of village Jamuaw under Sandesh police station, on May 2017, and ever since she was being tortured by her in-laws tortured her for a motorcycle and Rs 1.50,000 cash and when their demands were not fulfilled, they allegedly killed her on June 28, 2019.

Later, a named FIR was lodged by Sandesh police station against Sushanti’s husband Anil Yadav, father-in-law Kamal Yadav, mother-in-law Tetari Devi, and sister-in-law. After institution of FIR,  police arrested deceased’s father-in-law Kamal Yadav and mother-in-law Tetari Devi and sent them to jail though her husband Anil Yadav and sister-in-law are still absconding. Police are conducting raids to arrest them.
