Ara : Bhojpur police, on a tip off, have arrested two criminals : Bikas Yadav, son of Binay Yadav of Badora under Agiao police station, and Suraj Paswan, son of Binod Paswan of Jawahar Tola under Nawada police station, Ara, and also seized a county- made pistol, two live cartridges and a motorcycle from their possession.

Bhojpur SP Aditya Kumar said on January 1, 2019, that a businessman Awadh Narayan Singh was shot dead at village Indaur  under Charpokhari police station on July 20, 2018. Taking the incident as a challenge, the SP formed a police team headed by SDPO Pankaj Kumar to nab the miscreants. The police team, following scientific method, arrested Bikas Yadav from Chas police station area in Bokaro in Jharkhand and Suraj Paswan from Agiao along with firearms. He said that Suraj Paswan had criminal history and was absconding since 2014.                                                         

SP Aditya Kumar said that police, in another development, conducted raids at Ekauna Kuyiya village under Barhara police station and recovered a regular single barrel .315 caliber gun kept in an under construction building of a school.

The SP said that the miscreants had looted the rifle from Paras Nath Singh, son of Madhav Singh of Chauki village under Udwantnagar police station, in 2016 and an FIR was lodged with the police under Barhara police station in this regard. He said that the miscreants had kept the rifle there with a view to committing crime but police seized the rifle. He said that police were   now conducting raids to nab the miscreants who had snatched the rifle.
