Bhojpur police arrest 2 accused in Manichhapra murder case

Ara : Police arrested two miscreants from Manichhapra under Barhara police station in Bhojpur district on June 23, 2019, in connection with murder of a person of the village on June 19, 2019.

The arrested persons were identified as Akshay Rai, son of late Satyanarayan Rai, and a Chowkidar Manager Paswan, son of Saral Paswan of Manichhapra under Barhara police station.  Police sent them to Ara jail after interrogation.

SDPO, Ara, Pankaj Kumar said that police had recovered body of an unidentified person from the outskirts of Manichhapra village under Barhara police station on June 19, 2019. The deceased was later identified as Krishna Rai alias Lallu, son of Shankar Rai of Manichhapra village under Barhara police station. An FIR was lodged with Barahara police station against Akshay Rai, Chunnu Rai, son of Ganesh Rai, Pradeep Rai, son of Sri Kishun Rai of Manichhapra under Barhara police station in this connection.

The SDPO said that the arrested confessed that Krishna Rai allegedly had affair with the cousin sister of Chunnu Rai. Chunnu Rai’s family members were against their relation. Chunnu Rai with the help of his friends Akshay Rai, Pradeep Rai, Munna Rai, Nitish Rai, and Manager Paswan of Manichhapra under Barhara police station, killed Krishna Rai on June 19, 2019. Sister of Chunnu Rai and even the Call Detail Report of the deceased also confirmed that the girl and Krishna Rai had affair. Police, on the revelation of the arrested miscreants, recovered chappals and battery of the mobile of the deceased from near the place of occurrence.
