Ara: In view of Durga Puja and Muharram, Bhojpuri District Magistrate (DM)  Birendra Prasad Yadav held meetings of peace committee (Shanti Samiti) at Bhojpur district headquarters, Ara, all the Sub-Divisional and block headquarters from October 6 to October 8 and directed all the officials concerned to ensure Durga Puja and Muharram pass peacefully in the district. He appealed the people to cooperate with the administration and ignore   rumours. With a view to maintain law and order, Ara town has been divided into five zones and the SDOs, SHOs, BDOs and COs have been asked to remain alert.

The Puja Samitis have been asked ensure the safety people. Magistrates and police force have been deputed to all the 34 police stations in Bhojpur district. Five flying squads under magistrates and police force have been formed to keep vigil in five zones of Ara. Magistrates and police forces have been deputed to 72 places including 34 in Ara town. Magistrates and police have been deputed in control room also and they will perform their duty in three shifts.
