Bhojpur DM asks Ara SDO to show cusese

Ara: Bhojpur DM Birendra Prasad Yadav has served show cause notice on Ara SDO Navdeep Shukla after a media report that the officials remain absent from their duties in the night at the relief centres. The DM also directed him to take legal action against the officials concerned after inquiry.

The DM had directed all the officials to remain present at the relief camps even during night and take care of the flood affected people but the officials left the relief camps at the the fall of night. The DM took serious note of it and again directed the officials to stay at their respective relief camps round the clock and warned them of stern action in the event of dereliction of duty. The flood affected people were seen sleeping under open sky beside the cattle at the relief camps and no one was there to take care of them.

On the directive of the DM, all the officials became alert and visited their allotted areas and served food to the flood victims at the relief centres in the early morning on Monday. They wade through flood water to take stock of the condition at flood affected villages.
