Ara : Elaborate security arrangements have been made to maintain law and order during festival of colour. Bhojpur DM Sanjeev Kumar and the SP Awakash Kumar, in a joint order, have deployed 134 magistrates and 134 police officials at all the vulnerable points in Bhojpur district and directed them to keep round the clock vigil on the anti-social elements, mischief mongers, hoodlums and drunkard. They also directed all the SHOs, SDOs, SDPOs, DSPs, executive magistrates to maintain peace and law and order under their respective jurisdiction.

Executive magistrates, police officials and police force have been deployed at Sheesh Mahal Chowk, Pakari, Karman Tola, D T Road, Dharman Chowk, Badi Masjid, Chaudhariyana, Abarpul, Bind Toli, Gopali Chowk, Milki Mohalla, Ramgarhia, Syndicate, Bhaluhipur, Shivganj, Badi Mathia, Mirjganj, Balbatara, Dharahara, Singhai, Tari Mohalla, Kasai Tola, Nawada Chowk, Patel Bus Stand, Maulabagh, Anaith, station road at Ara.

The leaves of all the officials and police personnel have been cancelled in view of the festival  with a warning that stern action will be taken against them if they were found absent from r duty. The district administration has banned playing of DJ at high volume, vulgar songs, communal slogans, brewing and sale of illicit liquor. The Civil Surgeon Dr Ras Bihari Singh has been asked to depute doctors, paramedical staffs with medicines at Ara Sadar Hospital, Referral Hospitals, and Primary Health Centres (PHCs).
