Sitamarhi : The Bharat Bandh call given by several organisations and political parties passed off peacefully in Sitamarhi District in North Bihar on September 27, 2021. Vehicular traffic and public transport were off the road till 3 pm.
A procession under the leadership of Sanyut Kisan Morcha convenor Dr Anand Kishore was taken out that passed through the main road raising anti government slogans. Mehsal Chowk and Kargil bypass Chowk in Sitamarhi town were blocked for hours that caused a lot of hardship to daily commuters and passengers. The main market and business establishments remained closed in the first half of the day. Trains were running behind the schedule. However, the private and government sector banks were open with thin inflow of customers.
