Muzaffarpur : Bettiah CJM Jai Ram Prasad and his bodyguard Jitendra Kumar were seriously injured while the driver of his Scorpio was killed in a head on collision between the SUV and a truck on NH 74 at village Abhuchak under Saraiya police station in Muzaffarpur district on June 3, 2017, morning.
The Bettiah CJM was going to Patna attend a meeting of CJMs. The impact of the collision was so serious that the Scorpio driver remained stuck in his vehicle for about two hours and was taken out after the door of the vehicle was cut with the help of gas cutter. The truck, which collided with Scorpio, was dashed from behind by another truck. Yet another truck rammed the second truck. Police seized the Scorpio and two trucks while the third truck fled the scene.
