Ara : Bengal police, with the help of Bhojpur police, recovered a kidnapped girl from Shivpur village under Dhangai police station in Bhojpur district on April 7, 2017, evening and also arrested the accused. Bengal police took them to Kolkata where the statement of the girl will be recorded before the court under section 164 of CrPC.

Sunil Kumar, son of Umashankar Singh of Shivpur village under Dhangai police station, lived in Vishnunagar – Jagdeonagar locality under Nawada police station, Ara,  in a rented house. He is associated with internet marketing and worked in Chandigarh and Kolkata. During his stay in Chandigarh, Sunil Kumar came in contact with a girl of Bengal who studied there. Sunil was later shifted to Kolkata and the girl also returned to Kolkata after completing her study. So, they remained in touch. Later, Sunil Kumar escaped with the girl on March 27, 2017. The maternal uncle of the girl had lodged a named FIR with KLC police station against Sunil Kumar.
