Begusarai : Begusarai police have informed the NIA about the arrest of one Shivam Soni who was allegedly involved in Kanpur (UP) railway track blast in November 2016 in which over 150 persons had died besides putting big slabs on railway track at Dalsingsarai in Samastipur district in Bihar in January 2017 with a view to causing rail mishap. He has reportedly admitted his involvement in Dalsingsarai incident.
Shivam Soni, who hails from Jaunpur in UP, was arrested on March 14, 2017, from village Karor Khanjarpur under Cheriabariarpur police station in Begusarai district for fighting with the locals on trifle.
Begusarai SP Ranjit Mishra said that Soni was arrested for brawl with the locals on March 13 but when police searched his room they seized his fake Aadhar Card and fake domicile certificate besides railways timetable and a map. Soni was also changing his address frequently that is from Faizabad to Varanasi. He had married a Begusarai girl in July 2016 and was living with his in-laws since then. Soni was sent to jail on March 15, 2017.
