Patna : World No 52 Aljaz Bedene, 30, Slovenia, sent second seed Stefanos Tsitsipas, 21, Greece, packing out of ABN AMRO World Tennis Tournament, an ATP World Tour 500 indoor hard courts event, at Rotterdam, Netherlands, on February 13, 2020, beating him straight sets in 2nd round. Bedene beat World No 6 Tsitsipas 7-5, 6-4 in 1hr 32 minutes to move into quarter-finals of the tournament.

Bedene fired 9 Aces in the match to 3 by Tsitsipas. Both the players committed 2 double faults each. Bedene also won 2 break points in the match to none by the Greek. He also won 3 games in a row. The Slovenian won 53 service points to 39 by the Greek. Bedene will face World No 21 Felix Auger Aliassime, 19, Canada, in quarter-finals on February 14, 2020. Earlier, World No 104 Vasek Pospisil, Canada, had stunned top seed and World No 5 Daniil Medvedev in first round. 

World No 15 Andrey Rublev, 22, Russia, defeated World No 56 Alexander Bublik, 22, Kazakhstan, 7-5, 6-3 in 2nd round to enter the QFs of the event. Bublik though fired 12 Aces in the match to 4 by Rublev.But, he also committed 3 double faults. The Rusian, however, won 3 break points in the match besides winnings 5 games in a row.
