Patna: Bashistha Narain Siingh is all set to be declared re-elected president of Bihar unit of JD (U) on Sunday noon. A formal announcement will be made by the returning officer Janardan Prasad Singh at a press conference at party office here.
As Saturday was the last date of filing of nomination papers, Bashistha Narain Singh was te only candidate to submit his papers. Singh is a member of Rajya Sabha .
Meanwhile, K C Tyagi, national secretary general of JD(U) welcomed the decision of Rashtriya Lok Dal to enter into an electoral alliance with the JD(U) for UP assembly elections.Tyagi said RLD president Ajit Singh on saturday issued a statement suggesting alliance between SP, JD(U) and RLD for the UP elections. Tyagi said Ajit Singh and JD (U) national president and Bihar CM Nitish Kumar will jointly address a public meeting at Karnal, Haryana, on Sunday.
