Gurugram ( Haryana) : Bangladesh scored a competitive 262/7 in 50 overs against Afghanistan in the 31st match of CWC at The Rose Bowl, Southampton, UK, on June 24, 2019, with Mushfiqur Rahim (wk) scoring 83 in 87 balls hitting 4 fours and a six and all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan scoring 51 in 69 balls with just 1 four. Afghanistan won the toss and opted to bowl.

Bangladesh openers : Liton Das and Tamim Iqbal, scored 16 and 36 runs respectively adding 23 for the first wicket. Das fell to spinner Mujeeb Ur Rahman while Iqbal fell to spinner Mohammad Nabi. Shakib also fell to Mujeeb while Rahim fell to Dawlat Zadran. Soumya Sarkar also fell to Mujeeb for 3 while Mahmudullah fell to Gulbadin Naib for 27 with 2 fours. Mosaddek Hossain also fell to Gulbadin Naib for 35 in 24 balls with 4 fours.

For Afghanistan, Mujeeb Ur Rahman took 3/39 in 10 overs while Gulbadin Naib took 2/56 in 10 overs. Rashid Khan leaked away 52 runs in his 10 overs without taking any wicket.
