Patna : Bangladesh were 194/8 at stumps on Day 2 in their first innings in the one-off test against Afghanistan onĀ  September 6, 2019, at Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium, Chattogram, Bangladesh, on September 6, 2019, with Taijul Islam batting on 14 with 2 fours and M0saddek Hossain unbeaten on 44 in 74 balls with 1 four and 2 sixes. Mosaddek and Taijul have added 48 runs in an unbroken partnership for the 9th wicket. Bangladesh trail by 148 runs.

Bangladesh openers Shadman Islam and Soumya Sarkar were out for zero and 17 respectively making it 38/2. Liton Das fell to spinner Rashid Khan (captain) for 33 with 3 fours and a six while Mominul Haque fell to spinner Mohammad Nabi for 52 in 71 balls with 8 fours. Captain Shakib Al Hasan fell to Rashid Khan for 11. Mushfiqur RahimĀ  (wk) also fell to Rashid Khan for duck. Mahmadullah too fell to Rashid Khan for 7.

For Afghanistan, captain Rashid Khan took 4/47 in 18 overs while Mohammad Nabi took 2/53 in 22 overs. Yamin Ahmadzai and Qaid Ahmad took one wicket each.

Afghanistan had scored 342 runs in their first innings with Rahmat Shah scoring 102 while Asghar Afghan scored 92. Rashid Khan scored 51 with 2 fours and 3 sixes while Afsar Zazai scored 41 with 4 fours and a six. For Bangladesh, Taijul Islam took 4/116 in 41 overs.
