Patna : Bangladesh crushed West Indies by an innings and 184 runs in the second test at Shere Bangla National Stadium, Dhaka, Bangladesh, on the third of the match on December 2, 2018, winning the two-match test series 2-0.

Asked to follow on, West Indies were all out for 213 in their second innings with Shimron Hetmyer scoring 93 in 92 balls with 9 sixes and a four and fast bowler Kemar Roach an unbeaten 37 in 49 balls with 7 fours.

For Bangladesh, spinner Mehidy Hasan Miraj took 5/59 in 2o overs while Taijul Islam took 3/40. Captain Shakib Al Hasan and Nayeem Hasan took one wicket each.

West Indies were all out for just 111 in 36.4 overs in their first innings with Shimron Hetmyer scoring 39 and wicketkeeper Shane Dowrich 37. Captain Kraigg Brathwaite was out for a duck while Shai Hope scored 10. Roston Chase was also out without scoring. For Bangladesh, Mehidy Hasan took 7/58 in 16 overs while captain Shakib Al Hasan took 3/27.

Opting to bat after winning the toss on November 30, 2018, Bangladesh were all out for 508 in their first innings with Mamudullah scoring 136 in 242 balls with 10 fours and captain Shakib Al Hasan 80 with 6 fours. Opener Shadman Islam scored 76 and Liton Das 54.

Mehidy Hasan was declared Player of Match while Shakib Al Hasan was declared Player of the Series. Mehidy Hasan took 12 wickets in the match.
