Bagaha : Bharat Bandh was almost complete in Bagaha police district on September 10, 2018, as all business establishments had downed their shutters while private schools remained closed. Long distances buses too remained off the roads. The Bharat Bandh call was given by Congress led opposition parties against steep prices of petroleum products.
A rally led by congress leader and former minister Purnmasi Ram was taken out which passed through the main thoroughfare of Bagaha Town. The bandh supporters were raising slogans against PM Narendra Modi and CM Nitish Kumar.
Two factions of Congress workers of Ramnagar clashed during Bharat Bandh in which a worker Sheikh Ansar, 20, was injured and admitted to Primary Health Centre, Ramnagar. Bagaha SP A K Gupta said that the bandh was peaceful.
