Buxar : An inmate of Buxar jail demanded `rangdari’ (extortion amount) from a branch manager of Axis Bank in Buxar district Raghvendra Pratap on May 1, 2017. An FIR has been lodged with Buxar Town police station in this connection on the statement of bank official Raghvendra Pratap.
SHO, Buxar Town police station, Raghav Dayal said that Raghvendra Pratap, branch manager of Axis Bank in Buxar district, had lodged a named FIR against an inmate of Buxar jail Ravi Kumar alleging that the latter had been demanding extortion amount from him on mobile. The SHO said that police were investigating into the matter and would look into the call detail report of Ravi Kumar’ cellphone.
Ravi Kumar along with his associate was arrested and sent to Buxar jail two months ago in connection with a scholarship scams. He used to call the Branch Manger, Axis Bank, frequently.
