Patna : Top seed Viktor Axelsen, 27, thumped  8th seed Kunlavut Viditsarn, 19, Thailand, in straight games in final to lift the men’s singles title at Yonex Swiss Open 2021, an HSBC BWF World Tour Super 300 badminton tournament, at St Jakobshalle Basel, Basel, Switzerland, on March 7, 20201.

World No 2 & 2017 World Champion Viktor Axelsen beat World NO 25 Kunlavut Viditsarn 21-16, 21-6 in 47 minutes in final to win the singles title. Axelsen won 42 rallies during the match to 22 rallies by Kunlavut. The Dane won 8 consecutive points during the match to 3 by the Thai. Axelsen now leads Kunlavut 3-0 Heaed to Head.

Axelsen bagged 7,000 BWF rankings points plus $10,500 prize money for winning the title. Runner-up Kunlavut got 5,950 rankings points plus $5,320 prize money.
