Auto driver shot dead at Ara

Ara: Some unidentified criminals shot dead an autorickshaw driver and threw the body in a gunny bag near Rassi Bagan locality under Nawada police station in Ara town. Police on Saturday recovered the body on the information of locals and brought it over to Ara Sadar Hospital for post-mortem. The reason behind the incident is yet to be ascertained. It appears the auto driver was killed late Friday night.

Protest: Hundreds of villagers on Saturday blocked the Sandesh-Pawna main road near village Kori under Sandesh police station in Bhojpur district for about two hours and raised slogans against the officials of  South Bihar Power Distribution Company Limited (SBPDCL) for electrification of Sunerpur village. The villagers said that despite repeated request, the officials did not pay any heed to their problem hence they resorted to agitation.
