Patna : Australia scored 327/7 in 50 overs against Pakistan in the 5th ODI at Dubai International Cricket Stadium, Dubai, UAE, on March 31, 2019, evening, with openers Usman Khawaja and captain Aaron Finch scoring 98 and 53 runs respectively adding 134 runs for the first wicket. Pakistan won the toss but opted to bowl. Australia lead the five-match ODI series 4-0.

Batting first, Australia made a solid start losing their first wicket that of captain Aaron Finch at 134. Finch fell to fast medium bowler Usman Khan Shinwari for 53 in 69 balls hitting 2 fours and 2 sixes. Khawaja also fell to Shinwari for 98 in 111 balls hitting 10 fours making it 214/2. Shaun Marsh fell to fast bowler Junaid Khan for 61 in 68 balls hitting 5 fours and a six. Glen Maxwell also fell to Junaid Khan for 70 in 33 balls hitting 10 fours and 3 sixes. Marcus Stoinis fell to Shinwari for 4. Peter Handscomb also fell to Shinwari for 8 while Alex Carey ( wk) fell to Junaid Khan for zero.

For Pakistan, Usman Khan Shinwari, 25, took 4/49 in 10 overs while Junaid Khan took 3/73 in 9 overs.

Chasing a target of 328, Pakistan were 68/1 after 12 overs with Haris Sohail batting on 36 and opener Shan Masood on 31.
