Patna : Australia reached 241/6 in 59.3 overs in their first innings at stumps on day 1 in 5th test against England at Bellerive Oval, Hobary, Australia, on Janjuary 14, 2022, with Travid Head scoring 101 runs in 113 balls with 12 fours, his 4th ton in tests and second in this series, and all-rounder Cameron Green scoring 74 in 109 balls hitting 8 fours. Travid Head and Green added 121 runs for the 5th wicket. England had won the toss and opted to bowl.
Both David Warner ( opener) and Steven Smith were out for zero, Australiua were reduced to 12/3 after 9.5 overs. Marnus Labuschagne, however, scored 44 runs.
