India, which had dropped Bumrah, Bhuvaneshwar and Kuldip Yadav for the 4th ODI and brought in Mohd Shami, Umesh Yadav and Azar Patel, brought Bumrah, Bhuvaneshwar and Kuldip back for the 5th ODI. Axar Patel as retained but Y Chahal was dropped. India had lost the 4th ODI by 21 runs.
